Lies and Logical Falacies

"A half truth is often a great lie."  Benjamin Franklyn

"A lie told often enough becomes the truth."  Vladimir Lenon

"The most common lie is that which one lies to himself."  Friedrich Nietzsche

Making choices that are in our own best interest requires us to be self aware, open minded and able to recognize when we are being decieved.

Below are some helpful resources.

  • Logical Fallacies: used by people to deceive others and to win arguments when the facts are not on their side.  Often used by political pundits on news panels and talk shows.

  • Lying to ourselves: Psychology Today has an excellent article on how, and why we lie to ourselves.
